Mineral School baseball squad takes on unidentified opponent in 1961
This is the only photo we've come up with so far of a Mineral School athletic event in progress. It appears that two umpires were officiating this game, but oftentimes only a single umpire was available. He would stand behind the pitcher (instead of the catcher), where he could call balls and stikes as well as plays in the field.The school basketball court is visible in the distance.
