For a language lesson we had to write a friendly letter to someone we know. Miss Bonino, their teacher, received the following letter:
Dearest Dear of all Dears,
I love you very much. I will be glad when you come back to the projects. I will marry you when you come back.
I want you to know when you come back I will be waiting for you.
My love for you will never die.
Love, W___R___
How friendly can you get? Mike Lovell
Seventh Grade
We are sorry that Dian Ford, one of our seventh grade girls, broke her arm while trying to do the Pyrmid Cheer. We advise the rest of the girls not to do this cheer, until they know what they are doing!
The Seventh Grade has only one boy out of the whole class playing basketball, Alvin Pennington. What happened to the rest of them?
Sharon Alexander
Eighth Grade
Wynell Hodges is in the Carraway Methosist Hospital recovering from an operation for her appendicts. Hope she gets well soon. We surely miss her.

Lenora Lowe

The Second Grade is very scientifically minded this year. They have a turtle, fish, bird, insect box, and a cricket cage with four crickets in it. For decoration, the students are making turkeys out of paper plates to put in their room.
Betty Jo Cornelius

Dennis Anderson has a new baby brother and is very proud of him. Larry Little said he likes Mineral Springs better than Florida for he doesn't like to walk a block to the lunchroom. Larry, Lynn, and Kenneth would like to write to their brothers in the armed forces.
Fourth Grade
The Fourth Grade were 100% on P.T.A. dues. They won a 3.00 prize. They also have planted Verbena along one side of the school walk. They are enjoying working on it and pulling up the grass from it. The Fourth Graders are already studying Christmas. The children have started making their mother's Christmas presents. They are enjoying their aquarium and their new scavenger in their room.
Clyde Owens
Fifth Grade
The fifth grade has 100% paid P.T.A. members. The class is making a study on insects, and they have made a rock and fossil collection.
