WHY WE SHOULD CELEBRATE
    THANKSGIVING

There was once a great feast many years ago. This was a feast given by the Pilgrims, and all of the nearby Indians attended. Of course, everyone knows that this was the first Thanksgiving. At this feast the Pilgrims thanked God for their crops and for blessing them throughout the year.
Today we celebrate Thanksgiving also, but do we celebrate it in the way we should? Do we think of all the things we should be thankful for when we eat our Thanksgiving dinner? We should stop and think of all our daily blessings. We have a home and family and many friends to be thankful for also. But more than other thing we could think of, we are thankful for the privilege of living in America.
This Thanksgiving, think about these things before you eat this traditional meal. I'm sure you will find these things are very true.

He: I'm keeping a record of all of the good times we've had together. She: Oh, a diary? He: No, stubs in a checkbook.

The senior girl sniffed disdainfully as the pink-cheeked freshman boy cut in. "Why did you have to cut in when I was dancing?" she asked. "Sorry," the freshman answered, hanging his head in humility. "I'm working my way through college, and your partner was waving a five dollar bill at me."
